Dale Alan Gray, born August 10, 1953, reunited with his great grandmother, who raised him, on Christmas Eve 2017. Dale was involved in real estate all his professional life. He was elected president of the Stockton Board of Realtors in 1987, was the CEO of the Stockton Association of Realtors, and was Awarded Realtor Emeritus from the National Association of Realtors, which is one of the highest awards given to a member with 40 years of continuous membership. A leader in the Association Executive committee at the California Association of Realtors, he held many other positions there as well. He served as CEO in the Central Valley Association of Realtors for nearly 10 years. He also owned his own brokerage and consulting firm. Dale was proud of his association with other organizations like Junior Achievement and Stocktonian of the Year, where he was currently on the Board of Directors. He was also very active in state and local politics and always supported realtor-friendly legislation; he was currently the key contact for Assemblywoman Susan Eggman.
He loved Christmas and was the proud owner of over 5000 Christmas tree ornaments, which allowed him to decorate different themed trees every year. Dale leaves behind so many dear friends who miss him deeply. He had two very special children in his life who called him Dad. Both Kellen and McKenna filled his life as a Father and he adored them both. He also loved decorating and gardening. His dog Kali was his constant companion in recent years. Dale loved to travel abroad but nothing brought him more peace than a trip to Yosemite.
He supported the SF Aids Walk since its inception more than 30 years ago. Donations can be made to the San Joaquin county Aids Foundation in Dale’s memory. Services will be held on Jan 26th 4-6 PM, at Club Brookside: 3536 Brookview Dr Stockton.
